The Lord of Terror Descends on Sony's Playstation 3 and the upcoming Playstation 4

There has been a lot of commotion lately regarding Diablo 3 getting ported to PS 3 and the upcoming PS 4. Blizzard's community manager, according to a post on Diablo 3's forums, they won't have any plans to let players access their Battle.net accounts using their Playstation consoles. It has been more than a decade since the last port of Diablo to Playstation, and fans all over the world are ecstatic.

Diablo 1 Playstation CoverSup Lil Bro?

Exact words were:

"While we think cross-platform play would be awesome, there are currently no plans to allow connectivity between PlayStation Network and Battle.net (this is pretty standard for most games that have PC and console support). As a result, the characters of your Battle.net account and PlayStation account will also remain separate."

 To simplify it:

  • B.Net and PS accounts are separate
  • PS accounts won't be supported by mouse and keyboard function
  • B.Net accounts won't still be supported by a controller function
  • PS versions of Diablo 3 might possibly have offline play

Wait what

Yes, you heard it right. The PS version might possibly be subjected to offline play, something fans of the franchise have been waiting for. The online play was of course, in Blizzard perspective, a chance to regulate things such as the RMAH.

Diablo 3 for the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 is expected highly by gamers out there, since almost everyone believes that Diablo's strength lies on its abilities to hook players on a 1on1 basis.
