Path of Exile Guide to Doing Your Best in the Game

It is no secret that Path of Exile is a deep and sophisticated game that calls for a lot of investment in time and energy. Being able to build a formidable character, get the best Path of Exile items, and run all the end game maps calls for both planning and execution, and not everyone gets to do that.

If you are a casual player who just wants to have fun for a bit in the game, that is absolutely fine. But if you are a dedicated player who is somehow getting frustrated with not getting rewarded enough for your effort, then perhaps you need to stand back and reassess how you approach the game, both in terms of theory and actual gameplay.

This is not uncommon in action role-playing games as there are plenty of players who would somehow lose interest when they are not progressing as quickly and decisively as they hope, so their gameplay would taper off until they completely stop. There is nothing inherently wrong about this; it is merely a part of gaming itself. However, if you wish to not quit so soon, then you have to regroup and start following four key principles that can help you get more out of the game.

First of all is analyzing your gameplay. When running through a map, you should be able to instantly identify which rares are worth picking up. When you look at your inventory to look at the loot you picked up, you should be able to sweep your mouse cursor through them and know which ones you have to keep. This takes a good bit of practice, but it is definitely something you should get good at once you have decided to take this game more seriously.

Second is respecting the time investment. Grinding takes time to yield fruit, and it is not entirely on luck that gets you the good stuff. Luck plays only a very small part in that, and time is still what separates someone with 6-linked items and those who do not. Also, grinding lets you level up your character and your gems, so it is not like you are going to skip it anyway. It is a major part of the game, and you must embrace it if you are to get good in Path of Exile.

Third is working with your character build. Once you have decided on your build, you have to know everything there is to know about it, whether you made it yourself or taking it from the community. You have to know how to level it, what items you have to look out for, and how to properly play it. It must also coincide with your preferred way of playing the game, whether you are more into solo play or like joining parties.

The last one is knowing how to trade. This also takes practice, but you should be able to know how to use poe items trade to your advantage and trade items with other players to get richer and acquire the items you really need. While not everyone can become extremely wealthy in the game, the point is being able to get what you need to do well in the game, and this is certainly a good path to take.
